Appointment of Humane Officers ­ City of Menomonie

THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MENONOMIE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Chapter 11, Section Viii (6) of the City Code of the City of Menomonie is hereby created as follows:

(6) Appointment of Humane Officer

a The Common Council shall appoint one (1) or more humane officers pursuant to Chapter 173, Wis. Stats. The humane officer shall have all of the powers and duties established under Chapter 173, Wis. Stats.

b The Chief of Police is hereby designated as the official who may modify or withdraw abatement orders issued pursuant to Section 173.11, Wis. Stats.

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon the date of publication as provided in Section 62.11(4)(a), Wisconsin Statutes.
