Just Fix It Campaign

The League is working in coalition with the Transportation Development Association of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Counties and Towns Associations to encourage the Legislature and Governor to develop a long-term sustainable solution to fund Wisconsin's transportation infrastructure.

You can take action!

  • Adopt the resolution to let legislators and the Governor know that your municipality is impacted.  Download it as a Word document here. To see the impressive list of resolutions that have been adopted to date, go to the Transportation Development Association of WI resolutions list
  • Has your state project been delayed or has your maintenance schedule been pushed out beyond what's reasonable or needed? Tell your transportation story! It's easy. Just call the League and spend a few minutes on the phone with League staff or email us at league@lwm-info.orgTransportation stories memo that you can provide to appropriate staff (PDF)
  • Email photos of potholes and other infrastructure needs to the League's general email at league@lwm-info.org

Hidden Costs of Deficient Roads

Per the TRIP Report released in Sept. 2018, there is a hidden cost of deficient roads. The average motorist traveling in the state’s largest urban areas pays a financial cost in the form of (1) additional vehicle operating costs from driving on rough roads, (2) lost time, (3) wasted fuel due to congestion, and (4) traffic crashes.

This cost is substantial for each driver in:
Eau Claire:  $1,219
Green Bay-Appleton-Oshkosh:  $1,456
Madison:  $2,139
Milwaukee:  $2,321
Wausau:  $1,517

Wisconsin Statewide:  $6.8 Billion
